Since the Federal Reserve announced that they were keeping key interest rates low, the Texas home loan applications have risen with purchase money applications having risen to most. Applications for home refinancing seemed to have slowed down dramatically since the pool for qualified borrowers has dropped.
Texas Home Foreclosure Rates Declining
According to CoreLogic, less home owners in Fort Worth and Arlington were delinquent on their home loans. 5.01 % of mortgage loans were at least 90 days late, down from 5.46 % in July 2010. The 90-day delinquency rate peaked in March 2010 at 5.95 % and has been falling ever since. The 90-day delinquency rate in Texas is 4.46%, which is down from 4.95% this time last year.
